"MY FATHER IS STANDING IN THE STERN OF THE LAUNCH AND WAS POSTED TO MALTA IN 1960,
RETURNING TO UK IN 1962.  UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT COME UP WITH ANYTHING ELSE TO
PROVIDE A MORE ACCURATE DATE"

 

JUNE 2010:  JAMES McNULTY, formerly of ROYAL HIGHLAND FUSILIERS

has kindly informed me that the photograph was taken in the first week of February 1961

on arrival Malta after a year's tour of duty in Aden.

He is sitting centre of three, starboard midships, nearest the camera.
